How scouting start and evolved into the great movement it is today!!

Scouting is world-wide youth movement, that was founded way back in 1907 by Lord Robert Baden-Powell (BP). His vision was to create a better world for all who live in it and from this he developed the Scout Promise and Law that Scouts, which all scouts still live by today.

Scouting combines adventure with solid values that inspire you to better yourself and helping other in all you do.

Due to the political climate in South Africa, four Scout Movements established themselves. In 1977 they united into one integrated organisation free for all, regardless of race or religion.

In 2000 the South African Scout Movement opened its doors to girls too, making the Movement open to all genders.

Who can join?Scouts is open to all, irrespective of your race, culture, religion or gender and is for all ages.

If you are between the age of 7 and 11 – The Cub Pack is the best place to make new friends and start your fun filled journey with us.

If your are older but still in school (11 to 18 year old) – The Troop is where you will live out your adventures spirit and hone your skills. Learn about team work and how to become a success in all to take on.

Okey, so I am older but still have spring in my step and would love to be part of this – The Group offers a variety of ways for you to get involved in this great movement of your.

The Groups normally meets every Friday evening during Government school terms
